ActionWare provides a feature (panel 7) where you can keep notes about your contacts and activities. This provides a history of narrative detail that can prove extremely useful when reviewing an account and assessing its qualities.
You can create notes for a record or activity and then view the activity comments in the activity panel. This lets you maintain a history of all your communications.
