System Options

System Options is a powerful set of controls that activate or limit functionality. These options also allow a level of Security both on a global, company wide basis and also on an individual override basis.

To access System Options from the ActionWare Main Menu:

Start function, which takes you to the first record in the active filter, is automatically activated whenever a filter function is used

When defining your fields in ActionWare, you have the option of clearing a field when a new record is added based on copying the current record (Add Above) or when a new record is added based on copying a marked record. For example, if one field contains the name of the sales rep on the account, you could designate that field to automatically clear (or blank out) on the new record being copied using the Add Above or Add Marked record function. Whenever records are added with the Add Above or Add Marked record function, all fields designated as "Copy Clear" will automatically be cleared of all data. Copy Clear is a field attribute and this value activates it.
