Extended Activity Screen

The initial pop-up window for adding activities contains minimum activity fields required to create a new unrelated activity. In fact this prompt window has an extension that contains many more activity fields. To view the extended activity screen press F10 while in the Add Unrelated Activity pop-up window. These additional activity fields are:

If default of N (No) is changed to Y (Yes) prompts will appear to allow the user to create future recurring activities. See Chapter 8 for complete details

Description

Blank or Automatic

If our wordprocessing interface is used to create a new Microsoft Word document this description field is automatically updated with the document name. You may also key a document name from the PID folder into this field.

PID

Automatic

Entered by programs based on contact record PID. You may changed (rekey) the PID data and the result of that action would be to move the entire activity to a different contact record with the new PID.

Reminder

This field is used if the user wishes to be reminded of the activity before it is due. Every decimal represents six minutes. A break message will occur at the time chosen to the target userID. Example: to be reminded of an activity 12 minutes prior to it being due, enter 2 in the decimal space.

Grace Period

This field represents the amount of time between the due date and notification to the author that the activity has not been completed. The target may complete the activity any time before the grace period ends. When the grace period ends, a break message is sent to the author if the activity has not been acted upon.
