Transfer File

Our Transfer File ((TRFC file) allow the import and export of data to our database file (CUST file) allowing for duplicate checking of PID and SID data (unique key). Should duplicates occur in the import process the contact record will be created with a numeric integer in the last few characters of the SID field. This ensures the integrity of the data being in the database. After an import, you than have the option to filter on and review all contact records with numeric values in the last few characters of the SID field.

Exports use a filter to copy contact record data to the Transfer File. From the Transfer File using whatever method you choose you may export the data to another application or to a file as desired. The standard database library name is AW4L. This library name and the Transfer File name of TFRC are what will be needed by the "other" application to import the data exported from ActionWare.

You must be authorized to the Transfer File by your System Administrator. Use of this feature maybe setup either globally or individually. If global, only one user at a time may use the Transfer File. If setup individually, than there would be no conflict for more than one user to be importing or exporting contact records at the same time.
